Structural Drying in South Florida

Dry is a number, not a feeling. We set up air movers and dehumidifiers, then measure until the structure reaches a dry standard.

What it involves

After water is extracted, building materials still hold moisture — drywall, baseboards, wood framing, concrete slab. Structural drying uses controlled airflow and dehumidification to pull that moisture out evenly and safely.

In Florida humidity, drying needs a closed, controlled environment. We position equipment based on a moisture map, record readings daily, and adjust until materials reach dry standard.

Signs you need it

  • Drywall that reads wet after a leak
  • Baseboards swelling or separating
  • Cupping hardwood or lifting laminate
  • Persistent damp smell in a room

Questions

Structural Drying FAQ

Why is the equipment so loud?

Air movers move a lot of air across wet surfaces. It is temporary, and removing equipment too early is one of the most common reasons moisture problems return.

Can I turn the equipment off at night?

Please ask us first. Turning equipment off resets progress and can extend drying time.

How do you know it is dry?

We compare readings in affected materials against unaffected materials in the same building and document the results.
